SONATA FEATURES
FOR STOWAGE, FLEET & SERVICE EQUIPMENT OPTIMIZATION
SONATA is a centralized planning system which ensures that vessels operate at their maximum
capacity with careful consideration of stack weight limits, visibility restrictions, stability limitations,
hull stress and lashing forces.
SONATA enables the generation of an optimal stowage plan
that complies with industry-defined standards. SONATA’s smart planning automates the manual and time-consuming part of the planning process. Specific to each vessel, SONATA allows for stowage constraints including reefer, hazardous cargo and other priority containers, thereby maximizing cargo lift, reducing port time, improving vessel utilization, and increasing revenue.
A well-executed stowage operation is directly linked to reducing the time a vessel spends in port and a corresponding reduction in cost. Spending less time in port provides a buffer to plan optimal speeds for each leg of the voyage, reducing bunker costs, and creates the opportunity to add one or more ports within the service rotation. SONATA also drives efficient terminal yard planning through automated forecasting and optimized crane splits.
